Ten format families, up to 512 MB per file
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF — scanned PDFs included, run through OCR — HTML, CSV, JSON, RTF, EPUB, Markdown and source code: each one is extracted to text on ingest, then chunked and embedded, up to 512 MB per file and 1,000 documents per base. On your own instance, those ceilings can be raised. Two honest exceptions: a Visio file is not indexed — it opens in the diagram editor instead — and a standalone image is read directly by the vision models in chat rather than turned into text.
