Six editors, one space: this is where your documents get written
The platform does more than read your files — it is where you write them. Documentation, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, diagram, design: six document types created from the same menu, edited by several people at once, with an AI that works inside the page rather than next to it.
- 6 native editors, from one menu
- Real-time co-editing
- AI rewriting: 6 actions, 6 tones
- Installed and operated by Hilo Tech
Six document types, one menu
The “New document” menu opens all six, always in the same order, alongside a PDF entry that leads to the PDF workspace. Each has its own editor, its own AI panel, and its own place in the same folder tree.
Documentation
A wiki-style page for your guides and procedures: headings, task lists, tables, syntax-highlighted code blocks, callouts, math and a “/” palette to insert anything. The content stays clean markdown that pastes straight into an Outline wiki.
Document
The word processor: reports, letters, notes. It imports your .docx, .doc, .odt, .rtf, .txt and HTML files, and comes back out as .docx, Markdown or PDF. Six starter templates ship with it — meeting notes, project proposal, business letter, status report, invoice and resume.
Spreadsheet
Tables, numbers and calculations in a real grid. The AI has nine tools here: analyse the workbook, write a cell or a range, set a formula, delete a row, add a sheet, a table, cell formatting or a chart. Export to .xlsx, CSV or PDF.
Presentation
Slides, all the way to a real .pptx file. Generating a full deck from a brief is covered on the Presentations, diagrams & forms page.
Diagram
Flowcharts and visual diagrams, with Mermaid and Visio (.vsdx) import and export to PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, JSON, Mermaid, HTML or .vsdx. The editor itself is covered on the Presentations, diagrams & forms page.
Design
One-pagers, posters, social posts and cards on a fixed-size artboard: eleven formats across print, web, social and cards. Export to PDF, PNG, JPEG or HTML.
From blank page to shared document
Four steps, the same whichever document type you picked — which is why a team only has one habit to learn.
- 01
Start from a blank page — or a template
The word processor ships six written starter templates, in English, French and Spanish. Beyond those, your own company templates lock the layout and open only the fields to fill in: the document stores only your values, everything else stays the template's and updates with it.
- 02
Write together, at the same time
The document is synced live between browsers. Avatars of the people in it appear in the bar, and concurrent edits merge instead of overwriting each other — nobody has to “take the file”.
- 03
Ask the AI, inside the document
Highlight a passage: reformulate, fix the grammar, shorten, expand, translate, or give your own instruction — in the tone you choose. The result is proposed, not applied: you see what it replaces before you insert it.
- 04
Save, version, share
Saving is automatic. Text documents and documentation pages keep their last 50 versions, restorable from the editor: the word processor compares them word by word against the current text, documentation pages open a read-only preview of them. Sharing is person by person — view, comment or edit —, through an internal link limited to accounts in your organization, and, where your administrators allow it, through a read-only external link for people without an account, with a password and an expiry date.
The AI works inside the document, not beside it
No copy-paste into a chat: the selection goes to the AI from the page, and the text comes back into it — after you have seen it.
Six actions, and not one more. Reformulate, grammar, shorten, expand, translate, or a free-form instruction. That is everything the menu offers, and everything it does.
Six tones to choose from. Professional, casual, friendly, confident, empathetic or enthusiastic — the tone changes without rewriting the request.
Rewriting: you see it before you accept it. In a rewrite, the replaced passage is shown next to the new text. Nothing enters the document until you click “Insert into document”.
One agent per editor. In the spreadsheet, the AI writes cells, sets formulas and adds sheets, tables and charts. In the word processor, it proposes an insertion reviewed in a side-by-side diff. In the diagram, it draws straight onto the canvas: the panel's “Edit” checkbox is what allows it, and every apply undoes with Ctrl+Z.

Insert into documentEveryone in the same document, live
Content is synced between browsers in real time. The server only relays: the merge happens on the clients, so two people writing in the same place do not overwrite each other.
Presence, across all six types. Avatars of the people in the document appear in the word processor, the spreadsheet, the presentation, the design and the diagram — and documentation pages show the same presence inside the editor.
Named cursors in the text editors. The word processor and documentation pages show each person's cursor, in their colour, with their name. The spreadsheet goes further than avatars: the cell each person has selected appears in the grid. In the presentation, the design and the diagram, presence reads through the avatars.
Saving that does not wait for you. Every editor saves on its own while you write — between 0.6 and 1.5 seconds after the last keystroke depending on the editor — and retries after a network blip, backing off further with each failure. Let the "saved" indicator appear before closing the tab: a keystroke made in the last second before you leave may not go out.
Read-only is live too. Someone with view rights follows the edits the moment they land, without being able to send any.

What the suite reads, and what it produces
Your office files go in, get edited, and come back out in an open format. The word processor imports .docx, .doc, .odt, .rtf, .txt and HTML and exports .docx, Markdown or PDF; the spreadsheet imports .xlsx, .xls, .ods and CSV and exports .xlsx, CSV or PDF; the diagram imports Mermaid and Visio (.vsdx); the design comes out as PDF, PNG, JPEG or HTML.
Four categories of tool, one platform
The six editors do not only cover the office suite. Diagrams, design and documentation are three categories most organizations buy separately — and they are here, in the same space, under the same access control.
- Office
Documents, spreadsheets, slides
The three everyday formats, importing and re-exporting .docx, .xlsx and .pptx. Your existing files go in and come back out — nobody has to rebuild the company's history.
- Diagrams
Schematics and processes
A native diagram editor that also reads Mermaid and Visio (.vsdx) files. The architecture diagram lives beside the document it illustrates, not in another subscription.
- Design
Visuals and layouts
A design editor for the visuals teams produce every day — without going through a consumer tool where your content leaves the organization.
- Documentation
Guides, procedures, wiki
Structured pages in clean markdown that paste straight back into a wiki. Internal knowledge stays in the instance, indexable by the AI that answers from it.
We describe categories of tool, not named competitors: we can prove what we ship, not what someone else's licence costs your organization. What the suite actually replaces depends on what you use today — that is a conversation to have with your team, not a promise to make on a web page.
Four verifiable markers
Figures that describe the suite as it ships — not performance promises or time-saved claims.

Two neighbouring pages
This page is about writing. Ingesting your files to query them, or generating a deck from a brief, are neighbouring subjects that each have their own page.
The one-pager — read it here, or take it with you
Read the full sheet without downloading anything, fullscreen if you prefer. The PDF stays available to share internally.
